BPM Strategy & Sense Making

Beginning with Strategic Leadership - Leaders are 'sense makers' and Strategy is 'sense making'.

BPM is itself a business strategy - a way of making sense of how to take advantage of the opportunities, by focusing on services and processes which will enable people to deliver great customer experiences that customers will value.

BPM begins with the realization that competitive advantage and success come from a leadership and business vision of the services and business processes needed to deliver the products, services and 'great customer experiences' that will deliver more value for customers than other competitors.

The starting point therefore is a Leadership approach through which the Board and Senior Management Team think through together the Business Vision and Strategy which:

  • Makes sense of the market place and the opportunities for gaining competitive advantage.

  • Makes sense of the services and processes organization we need to design and develop for success.

  • Makes sense to the people in the organization and to customers - because the approach to leadership engaged them in thinking through the strategy!
